We survived our first family vacation...YEAH!

That's bad to say but we really had a good time in Myrtle Beach, SC. We spent our last two mornings right after waking up at the beach playing in the sand, running away from waves, looking at seashells, walking along the beach looking for jelly fish, and of course drinking our lattes since Starbucks was across the street! Mom was thrilled about that. Our last two days were the nicest weather wise. It was a little warmer and plenty of sun. After the beach, we changed into our suits to play in the hotels pools. It was the lazy river, kids water park, indoor pool, hot tub, then back again most mornings. We also went to see cirque performance on thursday afternoon that Alexus really enjoyed. Those performers are just amazing. Alexus favorite was the the dog tricks they had. The prior day was a stormy day so we took Alexus to the SC Children's Museum. It was really neat and we spent almost 2 hours there. I think we went almost every evening to Boardwalk just down the street from the hotel to eat, shop and play b/c they had a park that was great for young kids. They also had great kiddy rides. The race cars Alexus just loved. Got some great video of that. We ate at Tony Romas, Hard Rock, Senor Frogs on Cinco de Mayo, About the only place not at the Boardwalk to eat was the Mellow Mushroom and it was mighty tasty. Alexus had tons of fun at the Boardwalk with lots of kids and spent one morning with a really sweet gal named Blane. She also rode the race cars with her two nights before and had a blast. The hotel was great...room huge and tons of stuff to do on the premises. Alexus loved the miniture golf there and was getting pretty good. They had a playground, we played tennis and life size checkers, volleyball, and ping pong.

The flight home was the only bad part. Our small regional jet took about an hour or so more time to fly home. Making it a total 4 hour flight. that is hard with a toddler on a small plane. So we were so glad to get home. It was a very special trip and it was good to see some great bonding between Alexus and her daddy.
