A chicago trip

we left thursday for a trip we have had planned awhile but it came so quick. We had a miserable FOUR hour delay at the airport. The plane had mechanical issues. Getting past eva's nap I thought for sure we'd be in for it. but she went to sleep as soon as we got in the air but only slept 45 minutes. But ti wasn't that bad the rest of the way....just maybe just for us old folks. So by time we got to the hotel we only met bill's mom to eat then unpacked and crashed. Friday we went to see grandmother Kosla. She watched the girls as they went crazy round the facility trying to pick the lil roses and feed to the fish. So we didn't stay too long thren to Sweet Baby Rays for ribs. Back for nap and then we went to his friend Chips in the country. It was pretty tiring b/c there oldest is four and they ahd a big place w/ no yard lots of mud and stairs eva would go up and down. Sat we left early for downtown Chicago for his word camp conference. Dropped off Bill and we went to the hotel and then just alex n I went to the shedd aquarium. It was fun just the two of us. Nana was so kind to take eva for the day/night. We went back to our room which was a really nice corner room on 16th floor facing the lake 1654 ..part the river meets it.. Alex went swimming in the pool on the roof for a bit then we went to the white sox game. met w Jim, Moe and two of the girls. It was hot a first then really nice. Though they lost, we had a good time. Alexus loved being w/ Katelyn then I took her upstairs for the kids stuff. She did some batting practice and raced Pesidneck and won. So cute. Then they had fireworks at the stadium and by the time we got back to the hotel we had a PERFECT view of the navy pier fireworks even though we couldn't see the pier from our room, It was awesome. We stayed way too late and sunday went to have starbucks then i asked her if she wanted to go to the fair w/ her cousin giovanni. So I dropped her off and went to get eva. Bill took the train and met him at his cousin mikes. Alexus and Gio had so much fun at the county fair and then hanging out afterwards. We ate thweere and then home. Today we went to the Brookfield zoo w/ Bills friend and FOUR kids which all of them are the sweetest. Alexus had a blast but its a big place and only really get to see the monkeys and bears....It was Eva's first zoo trip and it was SO hot. I mean really hot for Chicago so we left a lil before one. Looking forward to going home I relaly wish we would have left sooner.
