Getting ready for Kindegarten

Today Alex n I went to her school she'll be attending next year...the 'big school'. She wasn't AS excited as we were last week but it was very fun. She got to line up at the cafe,eria and go through as if they were serving food. She toured the school going to the library , seeing the science lab, hear about the programs, meet the principal, couselor and nurse and pres of PTA. She knew about a dozen of the kids already from her current school and those in the past she's attend ed plus neighbors. We got to go in the K classrooms as they were teaching. Funny, I thought it would be desks lined up in rows but they have stations so tables around the room w/ some chairs and they played on the playground. It was fun and exciting...something really good to do to get to the concept and anx iety out of the way. Kind of said to learn w/ budget cuts they may not have music or art next year. Or staff cutbacks.
