Long weekend

Nana (bill's mom) has been here since Wednesday. Alexus spent the day with her Thursday while bill n I worked. They went to paradise pond, had lunch and some fun at home in the p.m., Friday, I took Alexus all the way out to Burger's Lake and they were closed due to storm damage. It took like an hour to get there and another back b/c of Friday traffic. We didn't even have time to swim somewhere else. Then mom went out w/ the girls for a friend's birthday for mexican food. We really enjoyed the cooler weather that Nana brought from Il w/ her. Saturday was a crazy morning. We had the twins over. They are a boy and girl from Alexus's class that she loves over in the morning. They played outside a bit but w/ baby trying to sleep it wasn't working out...lots of whining...not sharing..etc. So I packed up some lunch and took them to the splash pad in the town over. Though it was a little cool if you were wet and in the shade, they loved it and had a lot of fun. Rita wen to the town square to shop so I was on my own w/ the 3 preschoolers for a couple of hours. But they had lots of fun and ate a ton. Finally, we took them home. Then we had quiet time and over to the Lewis for a pool bbq party for their friends in town from the UK. It was was good but everyone was pretty irritable probably from lack of sleep. I feel when I stepped on a ball and Eva was super fussy so nana took her home early. Alexus did lots of swimming w/ her friends and had her favorite...ribs. Sunday we woke up and they took Alexus to the park. Seemed like Eva was super tired and fussy all weekend. She wasn't napping well and in pain due to teething. She did start sitting up for several seconds on her own when I put her in the sit up position. Alexus that evening went to her first 'slumber party'. The Lewis hosted a toddler slumber party. HOw Regina has the energy, I have no idea. Though Alexus was the oldest she had a great time. With just Bebba to care for overnight, we thought it would be a good time for Bill and I to have a 'overnight' date. I found a great deal at the sheraton downtown. It was right accross from the water gardens. Very nice redone and so quiet. We enjoyed a very expensive dinner at Eddie V's and some jazz at a club downtown. Our time together in the a.m. was cut a little short from bill's stomach bothering him but we enjoyed having a very quiet coffee at the water gardens. Then, I took Alexus to Burger's Lake to 'beach'. Alexus was pretty tired from her slumber party but we made sand castles, had snow cones, she went off the diving board and down the kiddy slide several times. Even after havign a good lunch w/ Grammy at noon devoured some chili nachos. She crashed on the way home and actually napped the day before too. Two naps in a row...wow...we were so lucky. We cooked out last night enjoyed the evening at home and to bed early. After bible study today and lunch w/ Grammy, I took Nana to the airport. Can't believe tomorrow back to work but least it will be a really short week.
